Yes Horror fans, Jamie Lee Curtis AKA Lori Strode will be back once again for 2 more Halloween movies. Halloween Kills is opening on October 16, 2020, and coming right up on its heels is Halloween Ends opening October 15, 2021.
Jamie Lee Curtis the daughter of famous actors Tony Curtis and the original scream queen Janet Lee ( who appeared with Jamie in Halloween H20) got her big break in 1978 as Lori Strode in the John Cartender film Halloween! Following in her parent’s footsteps Jamie has gone on to a lustrous acting career in such films as A Fish Called Wanda, True Lies, Freaky Friday and Christmas with the Cranks and many more.
Halloween hit the silver screen when I was 16 years old and back then there were no PG-13 ratings. Since the movie was rated R I had to sneak in to see it since back then they checked ID to make sure you were 18. LOL, yes I was a sneaky teen back then. I grabbed my popcorn, candy, and soda and took a seat, waiting to have the living hell scared out of me.
Halloween didn’t scare me as much as I had hoped, I guess growing up on Creature Features with Bob Wilkins helped numb me and knowing it was Hollywood and it was all smoke and mirror’s so to speak.
Over the years Halloween has become a huge franchise and continues to make millions on each film with horror fans and DVD & Blu-ray sales. Since I am more of a Jamie Lee Curtis fan I only own the Halloween movies she has appeared in over the years. Oh hell who am I kidding, I own all her movies on Blu-ray. Yes, I am a huge fan and just love her style.
There are teasers but they don’t tell you a darn thing. I guess since the scripts may not be completed yet, it could have something to do with it.
I guess we will have to wait and see what the future brings for Lauri and her family in the next 2 installments? 14 months to go to find out the alleged beginning of the end?
